Pune, April 25, 2025 β In a powerful step toward promoting healthier digital habits among youth, Chetana Empowerment Foundation successfully conducted a Digital Detox & Screen Time Balance workshop for over 250 second-year students from the Architecture and Electronics & Telecommunication branches of MIT Engineering College.
Led by Counseling Psychologist and Trainer Mrs. Mitali Randad Lathiji, the session combined sensitization, group therapy, and interactive activities to raise awareness about internet addiction and promote mindful screen use.
π Students took part in an Internet Addiction Test to assess their screen time patterns. They also explored effective tools and strategies for smartphone use, including mindfulness techniques, goal setting, and boundary creation.
π΅ A significant highlight of the session was the collective pledge by all participants to observe a βMobile Fasting Dayβ every week, encouraging time away from screens for self-reflection and mental well-being.
π§ββοΈ The workshop concluded with a Mindfulness Meditation session, leaving students with a sense of calm and clarity.
