April 7–8- At Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Sanstha’s (CSMSS) Engineering College, Aurangabad — In a meaningful step towards nurturing mental well-being and digital mindfulness among youth, Chetana Empowerment Foundation successfully conducted two-day sensitization sessions for over 900 first-year engineering students.
Led by Ms. Mitali Randad Lathi, Counseling Psychologist and Trainer at Chetana, the sessions focused on two crucial themes: “The Art of Self-Motivation: How to Stay Driven Without External Push” and Digital Wellness. Through an interactive and engaging approach, Ms. Lathi empowered students to cultivate inner drive and build resilience without relying on external validation.
A key highlight was the group therapy session, where students explored the psychological aspects of digital consumption. Using the Internet Addiction Test, participants gained insights into their own screen time behaviors. The session introduced practical strategies and tools for cultivating a smart and mindful relationship with digital devices.
In a collective move towards mental clarity, all attendees took a pledge to observe a weekly “Mobile Fasting Day”, committing to unplug and reconnect with themselves. The session culminated in a guided mindfulness meditation, leaving students with a profound sense of calm and mental peace.
The initiative not only promoted self-awareness and digital discipline but also aimed to instill lasting habits that support emotional well-being and academic focus.
This impactful marks a significant step in equipping young minds with the tools they need to thrive in an increasingly digital world — with mindfulness, motivation, and mental clarity at the forefront.
