International Women’s Day Event with a Focus on Digital Well-being.

“Detox Your Mind!”

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, 8th March 2025 — In response to the growing concerns of digital addiction and its impact on mental health, Chetana Empowerment Foundation organized an insightful event on International Women’s Day titled “Detox Your Mind!” The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of excessive screen time and promote healthier digital habits among youth.

The event, held at Bhanudas Chavan Hall in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, attracted over 400 participants. The program kicked off with a powerful Social Media Anti-Addiction street play, which highlighted the negative effects of social media overuse and digital distractions on mental well-being. This dramatic performance set the tone for the sessions that followed, urging the audience to reflect on their digital habits.

Following the street play, the event featured a group therapy session conducted by Mitali Randad Lathi, a respected Counseling Psychologist and Trainer. During the session, participants explored the psychological and emotional impacts of digital addiction and were encouraged to take actionable steps toward managing their screen time.

A significant part of the program was the Internet Addiction Test, which allowed participants to assess their screen time habits and gain a deeper understanding of their digital consumption. For many, the test was a powerful wake-up call, prompting them to reconsider their relationship with technology.

The event concluded with a Mindfulness Meditation session, designed to help participants regain focus, boost mental clarity, and restore balance in their fast-paced, screen-dominated lives. The session offered practical tools to enhance mental well-being and improve mindfulness in everyday activities.

This program marks the beginning of a larger effort by the Chetana Empowerment Foundation, in collaboration with the Institute of Engineering and Jaju’s Professional Academy, to help young individuals lead healthier, more balanced lives. Follow-up sessions will be held in the coming days to provide continued support and guidance on developing mindful digital habits.

The foundation is committed to empowering youth to navigate the digital world with greater awareness, fostering a future where mental well-being is prioritized in the age of constant connectivity.
