Kaygaon, Aurangabad (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar), February 12, 2025 – In collaboration with the Chetana Empowerment Foundation, a value education initiative has been running successfully in Kaygaon, a small town 46 km from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, since June 2022. Over the past three years, more than 650 children have been receiving regular value-based education three days a week.
As part of this initiative, a two-day residential camp was organized at Happy Village on February 11-12, 2025, for over 100 students from rural schools studying in grades 4 to 7. The objective was to assess the impact of such camps on children’s behavior and overall development.
During the camp, students enthusiastically explored the diverse plant life at Happy Village. They actively participated in the engaging workshop “Am I Smart or My Phone?”, discussing the role of technology in their lives. The “Anger Management” session introduced them to various tools and techniques for self-regulation, while creative activities like Art & Craft, Adventure Games, and Traditional Sports added an element of fun and learning. The meditation sessions were also a major highlight, allowing children to experience relaxation and mindfulness.

Sharing his experience, young participant Prasad said, “This was my first time at such a camp, and I had so much fun while learning so many new things!”
Expressing his appreciation, Thorath Sir from Lakhmapur remarked, “The food here was delicious! For these students, getting an opportunity to attend such a camp is a great gift. Every experience here was unique and highly commendable.”
The success of this initiative highlights the importance of value-based education and experiential learning in rural areas. Chetana Empowerment Foundation continues to create meaningful learning experiences that empower children with essential life skills.
